I also have light brown hair with caramel highlights. My preference is "Ash Brown". It is slightly more pigmented than Taupe and give a well-defined brow without looking drawn on. Taupe was too light for me.

I have dark brown eyes, will I be able use taupe?. Is it smudge free?. Does it break?.
I am not familiar with the taupe color. It will smudge or rub off if touched, also will break if extended too far. All in all, though, it is a great little pencil at a good price. It’s worth a try even if you have to buy a couple of different colors to find the right one:) Best wishes!

Brunette! I'm also soft brown in ABH wiz and I found ash brown and chocolate to be too light and too warm. The brunette shade matches closest!
